In the Spotlight

Centred around Mara Galeazzi’s rehearsals and performance in Tim Podesta’s award winning ballet Shadow Aspect, Mara reflects upon the shadows of her childhood and later life. Unable to confront them, ballet became Mara’s voice as she found her way to express the words she could never speak. Through her story, Mara hopes that you, too, will also find more within yourself than you thought possible.

Dis/Assemble Project
In Seeded: Great Arts and Health Stories from Regional Australia, Moya Sayer-Jones highlights the Dis/Assemble Project, a collaboration between Tim Podesta and various artists. This project explores themes of deconstruction and reconstruction through movement, challenging the boundaries of performance and incorporating both physical and emotional healing elements. Focused on engaging regional communities, the Dis/Assemble Project blends artistic expression with health and well-being, offering a unique perspective on the intersection of dance, rehabilitation, and mental health.
